The Component Cloud for nVent HOFFMAN DTM Software provides online access to free, validated, high-quality electrical component data to users of DTM Software electrical design tools.
The Component Cloud is provided through a cooperation with CADENAS, a leading provider of online component libraries. Libraries are provided directly by the manufacturers of the respective electronic components.
Each library entry is classified into one of three Qualification Levels.
Qualification Levels
Certified – Geometrical Component Data + Electrical Characteristics
Component type (e.g. plug, cable, standard component, etc.)
Schematic symbols for electrified components, except mechanical components (ie: end plates)
3D representation with connection points
Primary and dependent object relationships (referred to as master/slave in software)
Connection points with names, symbols, and component assignments
Cross-section definitions at the connection points
Positioning information for the control cabinet
Sponsored – Component Data Provided by Zuken and nVent HOFFMAN
A temporary solution for immediate use sponsored by participating component manufacturers
Migrated data from an older format for use in E3.series and DTM software
Provided for free download without responsibility for the quality of the component data provided

Digital parts catalogs are available directly with DTM Software where required parts can be inserted with just a few clicks.
The library data contains all important information such as: attachment points, symbols, alternative views, technical parameters, classifications, part numbers, etc.
In addition to material master data, necessary electrical information is provided (varies by vendor) which is required for the creation of the circuit diagram, the switch cabinet layout, and wiring and for the creation of the cable harness.
